Location - Vauxhall top ^

Vauxhall lies just south of the river from Pimlico, Westminster and the Houses of Parliament, its proximity to which makes it a popular choice of residence for many famous politicians, including the former Prime Minister John Major. From the 17th to the 19th centuries, Vauxhall was famous for its Pleasure Gardens, where thousands of people flocked daily to enjoy music, illuminated fountains, fireworks and refreshments. Today, the area is home to the famous Oval cricket ground, as well as the central headquarters of the British Secret Intelligence Service (more commonly known as MI6). Vauxhall is also just outside the Congestion Charge zone, making it a convenient base for anyone visiting the city by car.
