A good short stay hotel

I read lots of reviews on this hotel before booking but went in with an open mind. Yes the room was small but clean, homely and comfortable. Look around Paddington and it's full of these small boutique hotels so you sacrifice space for location.
A 5 minute walk to Paddington Undergroud and British Rail which is also the location of the Heathrow Connect train.
The Reception staff could not me more helpful. They poured over the London map with me pointing out all the locations I should see. They were always polite and well presented.
The reviews I read about breakfast were pretty well correct. The selection is reasonable although it's obvious that the breadrolls and pastries are not fresh everyday.

We know London rooms are small- especially in such hotels. However, the bathroom fittings/TV /lights are extremely poor- Breakfast is same everyday -boring
People are very good- In fact excellent-

Attic rooms only suitable for desert dwellers

The room was up in the attic and was unbearably hot - no air conditioning - spent a very unpleasant evening

Smallest Double Bedroom I've seen
Booker, Party type: Mature couple - Posted: Saturday 26th June 2010
Smallest double bedroom I've ever seen - the side of the bed was against the wall.
TV was ancient - not even freeview
Hotel was very clean, but obviously in need to an update.
Staff were very helpful.
Don´t stay at the Norfolk Tower

We booked a 3 star hotel but in my opinion it is only a 1 star hotel.
The only positive thing I can say is that the breakfast was ok.
I will newer stay at that hotel again.

What a disappointment
Booker, Party type: Mature couple - Posted: Sunday 13th June 2010
The room looked nothing like the picture on the website. The first room they put us in was dreary with old patched wallpaper and threadbare and split carpetting. The worst of it was the heat. The weather was pleasant outside but it was like a sauna inside. The window opened only about 3 inches so no relief there. The water in the tub was either cold or excruciatingly hot. After three nights of this we complained and were moved to a room that was somewhat better. The the rooms were always clean, but the comfort level was decidely lacking, and I can't recomend this hotel.

My two grown up daughters and I stayed in this hotel for one night. The location was very good as it is so close to Paddington Station, giving us good access to the underground. The continental breakfast was adequate. We stayed in a triple room which was actually a twin room with a third bed squeezed in. There was hardly enough room to stand between the three beds and everything in the room looked as though it either needed replacing or renewing, in fact, the room could have done with a complete refurbish, it looked very old and tired. We were glad we were only there for one night but I do have to say that the reception staff were very friendly and helpful and we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel all day when we checked out and go back to collect it at 5pm when we were going for our train.

The only thing I could comment on was the carpet in the room was a bit threadbare, apart from that we enjoyed our stay at The Norfolk Towers Hotel.

We were very dissappointed with this hotel. We specifically booked a double room having viewed the location and the pictures of rooms on their website. When we arrived we were given a twin room which was very basic. The walls were bare painted and marked. When I complained about the twin room when we had booked a double we were told there was nothing they could do about it and offered an english breakfast instead of continental as compensation. This was atotally inadequate response. We certainly will not return there if that is the standard of rooms they offer.
