Very small but clean and tidy

When I checked in I was taken down the street to another building, which meant that I wasn't in the main hotel itself which does look very nice and has its facilities there.
I was on business so this didn't bother me as such but I did find it a bit odd. The room was clearly recently refurbished and was very clean, tidy and well presented. However, the room was very small and wouldn't pass my 'swing a cat' test. The bathroom was very nice and clean as well as new - nicer than many hotels I have stayed in. The only thing I didn't like about the bathroom was that it had no shower screen or curtain, which meant the floor got absolutely soaking and I had to mop it with my towels after each shower.
The hotel is a short walk from Earls Court tube and is in a good location and much as it was small it's probably a fair price given its location.
Lost booking, bad room, nucomfortable bed

The hotel had no record of our booking and as a result we were stuck in a ground floor room, right on the road. in the room the fridge was off, and none of the bathroom items had been replaced. The bed itself was knackered, very uncomfortable and soft. My wife and i were staying in the hotel as i was competing in the london marathon, a task made more difficult by the lack of sleep induced by a poor bed and constant traffic noise. Also we picked up our luggage after the marathon, and despite a marathon t-shirt and medal round my neck, not one of the 4 reception staff said well done or asked how it went...little things make a big difference!

The price seems to have increased quite a bit from previous bookings
