We were first put in a basement double room with a miniscule bathroom with the toilets stuck against a wall and behind the door. The hotel upgraded us to a refurbished room. Our friends were in a double room that had not been refurbished, was a bit shabby and small with the bed pushed up against the wall.

Not the most luxurious room you'll ever visit but the staff are really friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay. They even let me keep my room until 4pm so I could freshen up after the marathon!
not what i looked for in the net..

We arrived at Bayswater tube station not knowing where our hotel was but it turns out it was literlly 1 minute down the road. Perfect! We enjoyed a delicious Indian meal at the Maharajah just around the corner which we also recommend. We were greeted happily and had a pleasant surprise to be told our room had been upgraded to superior-Bonus! The staff were all lovely especially the bar staff where we enjoyed several drinks in a warm relaxing but beautiful and sumptuously decorated room. The hotel looked very modern and appeared to be newly refurbished. Our room was very clean and well maintained. Not enormous but certainly all we needed for a one night stay.

Room small but only slept in it but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. Staff not very friendly. No double glazing on the windows so noise from street, during the night.
COMFORTABLE HOTEL

We found this hotel very clean, comfortable and friendly. We did upgrade to a superior double room, which I would recommend as the room was still not huge, but nicely decorated, very clean bathroom (small) but with double shower!! Well equipped room with hairdryer, shampoo etc and tea and coffee. Great plasma tv on the wall, perfect position for watching in bed! Great location, lots of restaurants nearby, very close to Hyde Park and tube station and Paddington.
Very disappointed

Terrible service by the checking in staff, rude, unhelpful. Payment for the room had already been taken from my bank card prior to me arriving at the hotel, even though my booking confirmation clearly stated that payment would be made on checkout. I cannot review the room as due to an error made by the Hotel there was no room for me and my friend when we came back early evening to get showered for our dinner and evening out. Instead we had already been moved to another hotel, without our knowledge or even being asked. So in short, terrible all round. I will never book with this hotel again and will not be recommending it to friends and family ever.
Perfect for our Requirements

Like a lot of London hotels the rooms are not huge and they make use of every available space. As the purpose of our visit was for a theatre break it was perfect for us. The reception area was welcoming. Booking in was fast, friendly and efficient. Hotel very convenient for shops and underground. The beds were comfortable and the shower room was sufficient and 'did the job'. We didn't have time to sample the restaurant but it sure smelt good! Would definitely return and recommend to friends looking for reasonably priced, convenient, clean accommodation.
A reasonable hotel for a two-night break

Generally a good room, though the twin beds were a bit narrow, and the bathroom needed some minor maintenance. Headline (room-only) price was increased by the charge for breakfast, which was not shown on the web site.

The room was quiet and beautifully presented albeit a long and convelluted trot to find it.
One criticism is the water pressure, the shower little more than trickled regardless of the time of day I tried to use it. It was a huge shame as the bathroom as clean and decorated to a high standard. If they could have sorted this out I would have given a 9/10!
